Fun Day at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

My family and I visited the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival  in Mount Vernon yesterday! The weather has started to warm up, so it was a perfect day to be out in the sunshine. I used to go to the Tulip Festival every year when I was younger but stopped going for a while. Going back brought back a lot of great memories! We left home around 8:30am, and arrived at 10am. It was already packed with people! Lines were crazy... Took us about one hour and a half to get to Mount Vernon. They charge a $5 entrance fee, and you're free to explore the fields all day long!

The flowers were absolutely gorgeous! The colors were so vibrant and the fields stretched across a far distance. It was amazing to see all the different colors. It seemed like it rained the day before because there was a lot of mud in some places! At one point I slipped and one of my feet got drenched in mud... Too bad I was wearing perfectly white shoes that day!

If you live in Washington, I highly recommend you visit! It's great for a family outing, and it only lasts for one month! Better to go now than later because the flowers are freshly bloomed!
