Eggslut : Los Angeles, CA
I went to Eggslut last summer for the first time, and I was so excited to go because it's a super popular place on Instagram. They are conveniently located inside Grand Central Market in Downtown LA. We waited about one hour in line just to order, which is craziness! In the end, it was worth it!
We ordered the following:
Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich ($7), which has hardwood smoked bacon, over medium egg, cheddar cheese, and chipotle ketchup in a warm brioche bun.
Slut ($9) which is a coddled egg on top of a smooth potato puree, cooked inside a glass jar topped with sea salt and chives.
The flavors for both were so perfect and well balanced. My boyfriend joked saying it was like a super fancy McDonald's breakfast sandwich, which I didn't disagree on, but it was on another level. I highly recommend you try this spot if you've never gone before. You should sit at the bar thats right in front of the kitchen. It was fun to watch all the cooks scrambling around trying to get all the orders out! They had a good system going, where one person cooked all the eggs, one person toasted the buns, etc.
I'm planning to visit LA again this summer, and i'm excited to come back here again!
