On my recent trip to San Francisco, I was able to visit so many restaurants - it was amazing, I just ate non-stop! One of my favorites was Sweet Maple located in Lower Pacific Heights, close to Japantown. It is a super popular American breakfast/brunch spot, and I can see why! Walking up to the restaurant, there was a huge crowd waiting to be seated. We ended up waiting about an hour, but it was worth the wait!
We ordered the "Oscar Benedict", which was made with fresh dungeness crab, asparagus, capers, lemon, and cucumber wasabi hollandaise! It also came with a side of roasted potatoes. The second plate was the "Marnier French Toast", and it was perfectly cooked. We both got a side of their famous "Millionaire’s Bacon", which I thought was the best part! It's basically a thick slice of bacon baked with brown sugar, cayenne, red and black pepper. It was wonderfully sweet and had a kick of spice. Ahh~ just thinking about it is making my mouth water... This is one place I will for sure go back to! It's a bit pricey, and there can be a long wait, but definitely worth it. If you are in the area I urge you to go and try it!
