Now that the weather is getting warmer i'm starting to switch up my makeup routine. During the colder months, I wore It Cosmetics CC Cream every day since it did a nice job of keeping my skin hydrated, and it has SPF 50+. I have dehydrated skin, but it gets oily throughout the day. Now that the suns slowly coming out, i’m trying to be more diligent with wearing sunscreen. I recently started using Farmacy's Green Screen and it’s been working well for my skin! It doesn’t make my skin flaky which my old sunscreen did. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a white cast.
After applying sunscreen, I apply Tatcha's Silk Canvas Primer. It’s a velvety priming balm that protects your skin and primes your face! My skin feels so smooth after applying it. Other primers usually make my skin dry and flaky, but this one makes my skin feels more hydrated through out the day. It feels very luxurious when you put it on, like silk. A little goes a long way. I like applying it on my eyelids before eyeshadows, it really makes the colors more vibrant.
For foundation, i've been switching off between Nars Sheer Glow (shade: ceylan) and Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (shade: 3). I've been liking the natural finish of both and I don't need much to cover my entire face. For my skin, these foundations last well through out the day with a little blotting in the nose area.
I recently purchased Nars' Soft Matte Concealer during Sephor'a 15% sale. I got two shades (chantilly & custard) so that I could mix the two to get my perfect shade. I've been a long time user of their creamy radiant concealer which I love so much. I wanted to try the soft matte one since I heard it has a bit more coverage. I definitely think the coverage is better, and a little goes a long way.
I love adding a subtle highlight to my cheeks and the Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder is perfect for me. I'm not a fan of highlighter with chunky glitter. This one has a soft pearly shimmer and it's natural looking! I like putting this on my eyelids to brighten the area.
